Trinity Cathedral, Miami, will host this year’s diocesan Acolyte Festival, Apr. 17, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., followed by a performance by the Christian rock band Between The Trees.
The theme is “Building Up the Body of Christ.” Workshops offered include:
• Holy Smokes: Incense in the Church
• The Bread of Heaven: Learning to Bake for the Eucharist
• Ringing in the Day: Praising the Lord with Change Ringing
• Feeding the Spiritual Body: Learning to Meditate
• Faith in Pictures: Making and Praying with Icons
• Building the Body Together: Peer Ministry Workshops
A Godly Play experience will be offered for children 8 and under.
Bishop Frade will be celebrant and preacher for the festival Eucharist.
The cost is $13, which includes lunch and a ticket for the Between the Trees concert, immediately following the Eucharist.
Every five youth participating should be accompanied by one adult. Registration is required; click here for registration, schedule and information on the day’s workshops.
